1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Canada Hookup — including our website, mobile app, and any related services (together, the "Platform") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not create an account or use the Platform in any way. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Canada Hookup.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify registered users by email or through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes means you accept the updated terms. If a change is material and you do not agree with it, your only option is to stop using the Platform and delete your account.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Canada Hookup. In certain provinces — including British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Yukon — the minimum age is 19. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the age requirement for your jurisdiction and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

You must be a real person using your real identity. Fake profiles, impersonation of others, and accounts created by or on behalf of someone who does not meet our eligibility requirements are strictly prohibited. Canada Hookup reserves the right to request verification of your identity or age at any time, and to suspend or terminate accounts that fail to meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been compromised, you must notify us immediately.

You may only maintain one account at a time. Creating multiple accounts or re-registering after being suspended or banned is a violation of these terms. Canada Hookup may limit the number of accounts associated with a single device, IP address, or payment method at its discretion.

4. User Conduct

Canada Hookup is built on a foundation of respect, honesty, and consent. All members are expected to treat each other with decency and to follow our community guidelines. Harassment, intimidation, threats, hate speech, stalking, or any form of abusive behaviour toward other members will not be tolerated.

The following activities are expressly prohibited on the Platform: posting or sharing illegal content; using the Platform for any unlawful purpose; engaging in commercial solicitation, advertising, or promoting goods and services without our written consent; creating fake or misleading profiles; impersonating any person or entity; collecting or harvesting other users' personal information without their consent; and using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform. Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

5. Content Guidelines

You are solely responsible for the content you post on Canada Hookup, including your profile information, photos, messages, and any other material you upload or share. By posting content, you grant Canada Hookup a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

The following types of content are not permitted: sexually explicit or pornographic material, including full nudity; hate speech or content that attacks or demeans a group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics; content that invades another person's privacy or reveals their personal information without consent; content that promotes self-harm, violence, or illegal activity; and spam, scams, or deceptive content. Canada Hookup reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat offenders.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. How we collect, use, store, and share your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using Canada Hookup, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy to understand your rights and our practices regarding your data.

7. Safety

Your safety matters to us. We provide safety tips, resources, and guidance to help you navigate dating and meeting people online. These include recommendations like meeting in public places for the first time, telling a friend where you are going, and trusting your instincts if something feels off. However, Canada Hookup is a platform for connecting people — we do not conduct background checks, identity verification, or criminal record checks on our members. We cannot guarantee the behaviour, honesty, or intentions of any user. You interact with other members at your own risk, and we strongly encourage you to use common sense and good judgment when sharing personal information or meeting someone in person.

8. Termination

Canada Hookup reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, restrict your access to the Platform, or remove your content at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms of Service or our community guidelines. We may also terminate accounts that remain inactive for an extended period.

If your account is terminated, you lose access to your profile, messages, matches, and any other data associated with your account. You may appeal a termination by contacting our support team. We will review appeals on a case-by-case basis but are under no obligation to reinstate terminated accounts.

9. Disclaimers

Canada Hookup is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We do not conduct background checks on our members, verify the accuracy of information provided in profiles, or guarantee that any member is who they claim to be. Any reliance you place on information or interactions through the Platform is strictly at your own risk. We make no guarantees about the number or quality of matches, conversations, or connections you may find through the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canada Hookup, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Platform, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall Canada Hookup's total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the Platform exceed the amount you have paid to Canada Hookup in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100) if you have not made any payments. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update or modify these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changes in our practices, the law, or the features we offer. When we make changes, we will post the updated terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top of the document.

For material changes, we will provide additional notice — such as sending an email to the address associated with your account or displaying a prominent notice within the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. If you disagree with the updated terms, you must stop using the Platform before the changes become effective. Continuing to use Canada Hookup after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
